Back To School Night

Welcome to Back to School Night!  Featured below is a prayer read by Tre Studgeon '22 as well as a welcome message from President/Principal Mrs. Kathy Mahar.  After our introductory videos, you will find instructions on how to access each of your student's classes via PowerSchool to watch videos from their teachers.  Additionally, we have some frequently asked questions from several departments.

While we wish we could be with you in person tonight, we hope you will find the information helpful as we get #ThroughThisTogether.

Opening Prayer from Tre Studgeon '22

Welcome from the President/Principal

Accessing Class Videos

Class videos are available through PowerSchool.  Simply log in to visit class pages and access videos created by our teachers.  Videos will be located on the "Back to School Night" page of each class.
If you haven't yet registered for access to PowerSchool, please see the instructions below:

To obtain PowerSchool access, you will need to obtain a PowerSchool code from the Spalding Portal. Please follow the steps below.

PowerSchool Parent Registration

To locate your PowerSchool Registration code, please navigate to the Spalding Portal. After logging in, click on the Spalding student, then go to Contact Card. The PowerSchool Code will be on the left side of the page under “General Information.”
Once you have the code, visit the PowerSchool Parent Registration Page to create an account that will give you access to the student’s classes.  If you already have an account and need to add a student as an additional child, see below.

Multiple Spalding Students
If you need to add an additional student to your PowerSchool account, you can do this while logged in on PowerSchool. Simply click the profile icon in the upper right corner, then click "My Information", and scroll to the bottom of the window. In the "Children" section, click "Add Additional Child," and use the above mentioned code.  Each student you add has their own individual code that you must retrieve from the Spalding Portal.

If you have any issues with access to PowerSchool or finding class videos, please email

  • Q: How are Masses and Prayer Services being held this year?

Our Masses and Prayer Service are being held on Wednesdays at 10 am following Cav Time. These are great opportunities for fellowship and remaining grounded in faith. Masses and Prayer Services will rotate from week to week. Our Opening Liturgy was live-streamed on September 16th, and our first prayer service took place on September 23rd. Next up: Join us for Mass on September 30th.
  • Q: What is the minimum Service Requirement at Spalding?

All students are required to complete a minimum of 60 total hours as well as a one-page typed reflection on their Outreach experience. Important requirements regarding the nature of service opportunities and student deadlines are outlined in Spalding’s Student Handbook. During the 2020-2021 school year, we are encouraging students to engage in service where and when they can do so safely. We have eliminated the Service Requirement deadlines for this current school year.
