Business/Computer Science

Computer Science

The goal of the Computer Science Department is to prepare students for success in a world where technological innovations have transformed the way we live, work and communicate. Computational thinking skills or determining ways to address life utilizing technology are a must! ALL students are required to complete our Computer Science Essentials (CSE)-PLTW (Project Lead the Way) course prior to graduation. All other computer science courses are electives. Incoming freshmen, with a few exceptions, are to enroll in CSE-PLTW. Exceptions to this policy are those students enrolled in our Engineering-PLTW program (the CSE-PLTW requirement is waived for those students) and those with scheduling conflicts who will be required to take the course prior to the end of their sophomore year. Any student who completes all four computer courses annotated with an asterisk will have completed the national PLTW Computer Science pathway.

Business

The Business Departmental goal, within this curriculum, is to enable students to evolve into intelligent participants in an ever-changing world, and to increase student awareness of the global community. This curriculum provides a daily life business perspective from a consumer orientation. We enable students to become educated, productive and contributing individuals in a global society.
