Morning Sessions:
Spalding's co-ed cross country camp is an opportunity for runners aged 10 - 18 to train and cultivate their running skills in a positive, fun, and encouraging environment. Whether a beginner runner or experienced, campers will receive daily instruction on best practices in long-distance running.
A typical day of camp will include training runs/workouts, games, team building activities, and informative speakers on proper diet, core, and collegiate runner experience. The final day of camp will feature a fun cross country scavenger hunt race. Campers will be divided into teams to demonstrate all they’ve learned throughout the week.
Evening Sessions:
Evening sessions are for older runners for an opportunity to train in the evenings. This camp will introduce advanced topics such as VDOT 02 and Periodization training. The cost for this camp will include the fee to participate in a local, evening 5k race in Columbia, MD (pending release of their race schedule).
