  • Skill Development Stations
  • Queen of the Court
  • 3-on-3
  • Leadership Development
  • 5-on-5 Games
  • Shooting Competition
  • Surprise Guest Speaker

Day Camp

Spalding's Day Camp (5th-9th grade entering fall ’24) provides programming for all skill levels. Our week-long camp offers a variety of training, skill development, and friendly competition that will take a young basketball player’s game to the next level. The low “camper to coach” ratio allows campers to receive more individualized attention to help improve their game. Finally, we will have a surprise guest speaker speak to the camp and an award ceremony to conclude an exciting week of camp, which will include a camp shirt and player evaluation form.

Camp Director

For over 25 years, the game of basketball has played a significantly positive role in Coach Aanika O’Connor’s life. From playing AAU in her youth to winning multiple County Championships in high school in her Junior and Senior years to playing collegiately at Bowie State University. The past 25 years have fostered a passion for the game, providing tremendous experiences, opportunities, and relationships for her, both on and off the court.

Shortly after graduating from college, she started her coaching career. Since 2011, she and her staff have led student-athletes to success on and off the court, including sending student-athletes to over 25 colleges and universities across the country. But coaching is more profound than “X’s” and “O’s” for her. She is committed to the overall well-being of the young ladies she coaches, both on and off the court, which has led to life-long relationships with players, parents, and community members.
