Congratulations to our Spelling Bee contestants!
There’s a moment before every word.
A pause.
A breath.
A room full of people waiting.
At the 2nd Annual NEHS Spelling Bee at Archbishop Spalding High School, held in the Performing Arts Center, those moments were everything.
What might sound like a quiet academic event turned into something far more engaging. It was tense, exciting, and surprisingly emotional. You could feel the nerves, the focus, and the pride in every student who stepped up to the microphone.
