Alumni Association Scholarship year
An award is given to a student who is a family member (child, niece/nephew, or sibling) of an alumnus, is in good academic and disciplinary standing, excels in service to the school and has a minimum GPA of 2.5.
Coach Mike Whittles Scholarship
The Coach Whittles Scholarship will be awarded to a rising senior who demonstrates integrity, character, compassion for others, a love for and commitment to Archbishop Spalding and a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average. The recipient must be a varsity athlete but not reserved to a football player since Coach Whittles supported all of the school’s athletic programs. If you are a rising senior and interested in applying for the Coach Whittles Scholarship, here are items to check prior to submitting a one –page essay on the question below.
- Have I demonstrated a commitment to Archbishop Spalding High School through service to the school as a student?
- Do I have a discipline record that reflects Coach Whittles’ character and integrity?
- Do I have a minimum grade point average (gpa) of a 2.5?
- If you have answered yes to the above questions, explain in a one-page essay why you are the best candidate for this scholarship. Include how Coach Whittles’ spirit has made Spalding a better community.
Denise Alvarez Scholarship
Awarded based on school spirit, concern for others, involvement in the school community, and demonstrated love for the school.
Kevin Durm Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a rising Senior member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society who possesses a loyalty and love for music, with a zest for life.
Lt. James H. Love Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a rising Senior student athlete who participates in at least two sports and has a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Andrew Eser Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a rising Senior member of the National Honor Society who participates in at least one varsity sport and exhibits outstanding character.
Good Samaritan Scholarship
Awarded to a rising Senior who demonstrates with their actions a heartfelt understanding of the fundamental Christian principle calling us to love of neighbor as reflected in John 15: 11 – 17.
Project Lead the Way Scholarship
Rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors in PLTW who have demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills.
Bank of America Charitable Foundation
Student Leaders Program for Current high school Juniors and Seniors.
