Exam Schedule & Inclement Weather

Semester Exams
Happy New Year!  We hope that you and your family enjoyed a wonderful holiday.  Students and teachers have had a very busy start to the year as we prepare for the end of the semester and exams.  The 2nd floor has been packed afterschool with students reviewing for exams at the National Honor Society’s  Midterm Madness.   We wish all of our students the best of luck on exams!
Exam Schedule
Monday, January 14                  Foreign Language 8:10am and English 10:00am
Tuesday, January 15                 Math 8:10am and Social Studies 10:00am
Wednesday, January 16            Religion 8:10am and Science 10:00am
Thursday, January 17                Conflict Exams 8:00am
Friday, January 18                     Conflict Exams 8:00am
Students should report in winter uniform for exams.  Students DO NOT NEED their electronic devices.  Students who are not taking an exam but come to school during exam times should report to the Performing Arts Center for study hall. Since many students take more than one class in a department, we schedule those on Thursday as conflict exams.  Thursday and Friday are also designated as Make-Up Exams for students who may have been sick during the regular exam time.
Inclement weather policy for Exam Week
With the weather forecast calling for possible snow, we would like to address the exam schedule.   We follow Anne Arundel County public schools closure announcements.  If we have a two-hour delay, the exam schedule will be delayed with the first exam starting at 10:10 am and the second exam beginning at 12:00 pm.  Exams will finish at 1:30 pm.  If school is closed due to inclement weather, then the exam schedule will shift forward by one day and conflict exams will take place on Friday, January 18.    Extended time testing will start at the time that the delayed exam starts (not before) and go later to accommodate students’ extra time.
