Messy garage full of unused sports equipment?
The Archbishop Spalding Cavalier Club is partnering with Leveling the Playing Field (LPF)* to run a collection the week of Sept. 30th. LPF collects donated sports equipment and redistributes it to low-income kids throughout the District/Maryland and Virginia area. All donations benefit schools, after school programs, and athletic leagues who are trying to engage their students in the physical and mental benefits of youth sports participation. LPF relies on used sports equipment donations from local communities to engage underprivileged children, so clean out your garages and basements so that more children may play! Last year, the Spalding community donated over $13,000 worth of equipment.
How do I donate?
Collection bins will be located outside the gym, student volunteers will be at morning drop off on Thursday and Friday (10/3 & 10/4) to take your donations curbside, and you may also bring any equipment to the home football game on Friday, October 4th. Please ask your friends, family and neighbors. A donation slip for tax purposes will be provided. Please see link below for a list of accepted equipment.
