On Tuesday, November 28, 2023 the Spalding community came together to achieve an unprecedented victory! 513 donors raised over $162,000 to support our students with gifts to the Spalding Fund. This is double what we achieved last year!! We could not be more grateful to everyone who powered up their giving and made our annual Day of Giving a tremendous success - thank you, heroes!

Competition Winners:
  • The winning class of the alumni challenge is ….the Class of 1998 with 10 donors!
  • The winning current parent class is the Class of 2026 with 65 donors! The sophomores will get a free dress down day on Monday, December 4, 2023.
  • Current parents beat alumni parents in number of donors but alumni parents came in with more dollars raised. 
  • The Program Challenge winners are:
    • 🥇Girls Lacrosse - $5,000
    • 🥈Boys Lacrosse - $3,000
    • 🥉Track & Field - $2,000

The best part about Spalding's Day of Giving, other than the incredible generosity of our community, are all the challenges, incentives, and matching donation opportunities! These fun moments throughout the day offer ways for you to double the impact of your donation!

These "not-so secret missions" 📁 are the perfect way for you to 💫 Power Up 💫 your giving and reap a hero's reward 🏆!

Alumni Class Challenge:
  • The class with the largest number of alumni donors will be invited to a special alumni happy hour in Spring 2024; will get special social media shoutouts on Spalding's Alumni social channels; and will "take over" Spalding's alumni website with a pop-up ad* declaring their class as the ultimate superheroes and greatest class in Spalding history!
  • *Ad to run through June 30, 2024
Current Parent* Class Challenge:
  • The class with the largest number of current parent donors will receive a free dress down day on Monday, December 4, 2023! The winning class will be announced on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
  • *Donations from parents with students in multiple grades will be counted in each class total.
Program Challenge:
  • The programs with the most donors to the Spalding Fund by 6:00 p.m. on 11.28.2023 will unlock $$ to directly support their program. Each donor can vote for up to five programs per donation.
  • 🥇Program with the most votes will receive $5,000
  • 🥈Program with the second greatest votes will receive $3,000
  • 🥉Program with the third greatest votes will receive $2,000

  • Advocates

    A Spalding swag item will be sent to anyone who makes a match or challenge donation on the Day of Giving. 

  • Alumni Donors

    • All new alumni donors of any gift amount will be entered into a drawing for an alumni swag bag, to be mailed to their home address.
    • All new alumni donors of $100+ will receive an invitation to a special alumni happy hour on campus in Spring 2024.

  • New Donors

    • All new alumni donors of any gift amount will be entered into a drawing for a Spalding alumni swag bag.
    • All new current parent and parent of alumni donors of any gift amount will be entered into a drawing for a Spalding swag bag.

  • Recurring Donors

    All donors who make a recurring donation (monthly or annually) will be mailed a student 3D printed Spalding ornament.

  • Leadership Donors

    • Donate $1,000+ and you will automatically join Spalding's 2023-2024 Unus in Christo Society. Our team will mail your commemorative pin, a membership card, and an invitation to the Society Celebration Reception on May 2, 2024.
    • Donate $2,500+ and receive two complimentary VIP experience tickets to the Spalding Gala (March 23, 2024).
