COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES
TIME: THURSDAY, MAY 23, 2024 | 10:30 AM
LOCATION: WHITTLES FIELD, ASHS
Graduation will be celebrated at Archbishop Spalding High School on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024. Commencement is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Whittles Field. Each graduating senior will receive six (6) tickets (4 red tickets/2 white tickets). Seniors with a sibling currently attending ASHS will receive one additional ticket for that sibling. Lost tickets cannot be replaced. Tickets are open seating, and seats are available on a first-come, first-seated basis. Students/families should be aware that the time/location of Commencement is subject to change dependent on weather conditions. If Commencement is moved indoors to our Performing Arts Center, tickets will be limited to two per graduate, and these 2 guests will only be able to enter Graduation with the 2 white tickets.
Student Arrival/Parking.
Students should plan on arriving at Spalding and begin to line up on Love Field by 9:30 a.m. Please consider dropping your Senior off to reduce parking issues for graduation or encouraging carpooling among students. The graduates will wear caps and gowns – red for gentlemen and white for ladies. The gowns will require light pressing before wearing. Caps should not include any adornment/decoration aside from the provided tassel.
Guest Arrival/Instructions.
Parking will be available on campus and at St. Bernadette Church. Parking will also be available on the grass practice field (weather dependent). If you are sending someone from your family to get in line early, please consider dropping that family member off - parking on campus is limited. Please follow the directions of the parking attendants. Please note that Calvary Church is private property you may not park in their parking lot or on their grass. Please respect our surrounding neighbors. Please remember that for our elderly guests – the number of handicapped parking spaces needed usually exceeds the number of handicapped parking spaces available. There will be two drop off areas for those who have special needs, but plan on parking at another location. Guests may begin lining up at 9:30 a.m. and will be invited into Whittles Field at 10:00 a.m. We suggest bringing sunscreen and water bottles. There is no tailgating allowed on the campus of Archbishop Spalding. No signs, balloons, or pets (unless previously approved for medical needs) are permitted.
